Birth plan??

Question

When did you start thinking about your birth plan? Anyone plan to go as natural as possible? Water birth? I know birth plans can change but what are you HOPING to do. 
I’m hoping for a natural, hospital or at home water birth. The hospital I’m going to does water births and I’m leaning towards it. 💙

This is my 4th pregnancy, 1st time dealing wity a midwife I have options for homw birth, water birth or hospital birth. And I am undecided of what I wanna do, I like the idea of the hosptial because I wont have to worry about my kiddos or animals while.giving birth. But I like the convince of a home birth. I am definitely gonna put a lot of thought and talk to my midwife about all options before making a choice lol.

This is my 4th ptegnancy and at this point I don't do birth plans anymore. They have always gone out of the window due to medical emergencies so I don't bother anymore. I have certian things I'm firm on and outside of that I don't care anymore. I would love to do an at home water birth, but I'm not putting my life or my baby's life at risk. I know I'm not a candidate to be able to safely deliver at home. I'd like to go into labor naturally, but I know it likely won't happen for me. This time around I'd like to deliver without an epidural, but if I need one I'll take it. I almost didn't have one with my youngest, but I'm glad I was convinced because there was still a little left in my system when I had an emergency life saving procedure an hour pp. The things I'm firm on are delayed cord clamping, my husband cuts the cord, circumcision for a boy, an hour of skin to skin, no pulling on the umbilical cord to get my placenta to detatch, and no taking my baby out of my room for ANY testing. I've had too many medical emergencies to hold on too tightly to a birth plan.

This is my third. I want to do a water birth so bad but Medicaid will not cover a home birth from research I’ve done and I don’t think any hospitals near me do water birth anymore. I am aiming for a non medicated birth this time. I also hope to go into labor naturally for this one as well. My first was induced a week after his due date and my second was induced a week before her due date.
