Baby or me on Doppler?

I’m 8wks + 
and used my @ home doppler today for the first time. I’m not sure if it was babies heartbeat or mine at 130bpm but the location was towards lower abdomen. Not sure how it works with hearing my own and the placenta blood flow but is there a chance it was the baby’s?

That’s your own heartbeat - the baby’s should be much higher.  Try looking up home Doppler videos on YouTube to hear the difference. You’re also probably too early. I wasn’t able to find mine at 10 wks and many women say they can’t find it consistently.

That was more than likely your heartbeat. Baby’s heartbeat should be higher. I was able to find mine at 8 weeks 5 days and the location was about 3 inches below belly button. pretty much where pubic hairline starts. And you have to press down with a good amount of force. I found is easier to put pillows under my bottom so that your pelvic area is tilted. And hold your breath lol.  It should sound like a galloping horse. Hope this helps!
