Should my husband and I take our 1.5 year old to Disney, or go alone?

I need some unbiased opinions about this. We’re planning to go for five days in the winter, and I was planning to take our son and just do kids stuff like use the pool, go on a few of the very slow rides, and just take it easy, but my in-laws have offered to babysit him for the week at home if we want to leave him home. He does well being babysat by them, but they haven’t watched him overnight yet. ￼It’s 2.5 hours by plane for us.

i had to see my parents and it was 9+ hours of flight, husband was happy to keep my 3 y/o with him and take 9 months old baby only but I said nope, i’m taking both as they need also to enjoy and know family, it was hard but worth it as 1.5 y/o would have fun and look cute in pics , tho it’d be a bit hard but you going for a week so why not? and she’s free pass as well

So you’d be going on a Disney trip as 2 adults alone if he didn’t go? I would either bring him or not go if it were me, but a lot of that is because I wouldn’t be able to be away from my 1.5 year old overnight. I think I’d also feel guilty going to a park meant for little kids as an adult without my kid.

Honestly, I would leave the baby home with the in-laws and go enjoy yourselves. ￼He won't remember it, take him another time when he gets older.￼

My Fiancé and I took my daughter to Disney with his family on a family trip when she was only 6 months at the time . She had fun although she may not remember everything but that’s why I took lots of pictures and videos !! Idc about the ones who’s saying no they wish they could do it but can’t … you should def take that trip with your child. It’ll be extra fun for you both ! Plus there’s kid friendly rides for her age 🎉

I think it's a very personal choice. My son's 2 and I've left him once for my sister hen weekend and that was only 3 nights and he was with his dad the whole time. I wouldn't leave them for that long. That being said I have a cousin and friend who regularly leave their child (of similar ages) for weekends away.
I think if the older child is only 2.5 there'll be lots for the younger one to join in with

I wouldn't leave my 1,5 year old for that long, so I guess take him with you. Just seems expensive to pay for a child that really gets nothing from that sort of trip 😅
