Is it unreasonable to decline all dinner invitations bc of my baby’s bedtime schedule?

How can parents balance social interactions and their baby's bedtime schedule? What are some alternatives to declining all invitations?

Do what you want and/or believe is right for you and your baby. 
Never feel bad for doing what’s best for you.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable.. I personally believe children need that type of structure. Why can’t friends/family/whoever just choose an earlier time to meet .. or a day you have a sitter 🤷🏾‍♀️ you gotta do what’s best for your baby & real friends/family should understand & adjust the same as if you had to work

We did this with our first and regretted it. Babies adapt to the lifestyle they are put into. If you shelter them into only sleeping at x time and in x place, them never adapt.

It really depends on you and your lifestyle. Are you ok with it? Are you ok missing events? If you are then do what works. If you aren’t then you need to adapt and create a routine that can be done anywhere. 
For us it was not reasonable to ask every person in our lives to schedule their events around our child so we created a easy routine and our toddler is pretty good about sleeping anywhere.

We have a lot of structure and would never miss the bedtime for more than 30min. Which is the latest at 8pm and dinner at 18:30. 
We still travel a lot, do basically everything, but I don’t see what kind of type of an event that goes beyond 8pm would be appropriate for our toddler.
We do of course go for dinner/events without him as date nights or if we visit friends. Also we have a social life separately as well, which means one of us would stay with him at home. Very similar to how it was before we had children.
