What to do if baby won’t leave your nipple?

Question

My baby is 3 month old and exclusively breastfed. He likes to breastfeed until he falls asleep. He wakes up if I remove my breast from his lips.
He also likes to sleep on my chest. If I lay him down on the bed, he wakes up after one hour crying. He sleeps better and longer when he is on my chest. I like the bonding but I still need to do my remote work. I’m afraid I won’t be able to do anything else and

I might be feeding or putting him to sleep wrong. Do you have the same situation? What can I do?

Try baby wearing so you have your hands free and can work and try a pacifier/binky/dummy. He may want to suck for comfort versus food and that's why he gets upset when you remove your nipple. As for sleeping, it's going to take consistency. All babies want to be held especially at that age. Where are you trying to put him down? How much does he weigh? He's a little too young for sleep training but if you can get him to take a pacifier he may sleep a bit longer in his own space. It's trial and error until you find something that works for you

When we went through that phase my baby lived in his baby carrier. It let me be hands free but still offer contact naps. If your baby will keep one a pacifier could help there. 
As for when you need to put them to bed it was trial and error.  Waiting till he was out and I could ease him off the nipple. Then gently lay him down.  If he woke up we would just pay his bum and he would quickly go back to sleep.
