When is the best time to wean off

Daughter is just turned 1 year old. Still breastfeeding. Just SAHM at the moment. What kind of milk would you give them after wean off.

I stopped breastfeeding at 15 months with my first because I found out I was pregnant and it started hurting. I just started using whole cows milk after that but he didn’t even seem interested in it 
With my second I stopped breastfeeding at 18 months because I was just done. He was using me as a human pacifier. He would want to nurse for 30 minutes every hour every single night and after 2 months I snapped and weaned him within 2 days. I started giving him whole cows milk in a bottle. He loved it and I just recently weaned him off of that every night (he’s now 2.5 years)

There’s no universal best time, it’s whenever works for you and your child.
If she’s eating a balanced diet including dairy (yogurt, cheese) there’s no need to introduce milk as a beverage if you don’t want to. If you do want to, whole cow’s milk is usually the first choice since it is most nutritionally dense.

I breastfed for two years and after I gave her 2% lactose free milk . She didn’t do well with whole milk . We also tried almond but wasn’t a fan .
