HCG - vanishing twin?

My GP ran an HCG test on me at what would have been 3w5d — and it came back 5900. Two days later, it’s 5700. Is it possible this is vanishing twin? Something else? My appointment with my OB isn’t for a couple weeks so I don’t know what to think.
