Constipation help?

I'll be 10 weeks tomorrow and I'm only pooping once a week. Maaaybe twice a week. And when I do, it's extremely difficult and hardly anything comes out. I've never taken a laxative or ever had constipation issues before, so I don't really know what to do.

Try magnesium citrate first, then stay on a magnesium supplement (citrate and or glycinate). Glycinate is better at night because it naturally helps with sleep, anxiety, muscle cramps. Citrate is best for constipation. I 100% use these before going to “medications” but my OB also prefers this over meds also. Ask your OB their opinion. Another thing is hydration which was thought for me first trimester but electrolyte drinks are great too(try to avoid high sugar ones). Dehydration is one of the most common causes of constipation, but elevated progesterone in first trimester is also a culprit.

Take milk of magnesia today, max dose i think 2 tablespoons. Then every morning after take a stool softener like miralax or restoralax.
