My girlfriend and I were at my nephews little league football game. The kids wear different mouth guard and some of them are pretty cool, some of them have tiger teeth and some of them have pacifier mouth guards. My girlfriend saw a kid with a pacifier mouth guard and made a comment. “Oh great we’re teaching them young to become big babies when they’re older” I look at her like she was crazy lol I asked if she was joking and she said kind of. She sounded dead serious. I asked her what she meant and she said that we need to teach them young to not be a man child when they grow up. I was shocked. WHAT DID A SILLY MOUTH GUARD HAVE TO DO WITH THAT UNWARRANTED COMMENT! I told her it wasn’t that serious and she got super defensive and continued to tell me I don’t understand the bigger picture. She left the game angrily. She called me and asked me why I don’t see the bigger picture, I explained that it’s a child’s game and they like to wear silly mouth guards there’s nothing connected. She claimed I was attacking her which I really wasn’t. Am I in the wrong?
