11m old not self feeding

So I need a little help…not medical advice but just ideas maybe to help me out. My son just turned 11m and he will feed himself puffs or pieces of snacks that he really loves but he won’t feed himself pieces of actual food. He’ll eat them if I feed pieces to him but he won’t put them in his mouth himself. They just get thrown all over the floor. But then he cries and starts to freak out and won’t eat anything at all, even if I try to feed it to him.

We’ve tried showing him how and modeling it. We try to get him to feed us but he’s not into it. I’m kind of at a loss. I feel like he eats nothing at meal time now because of this. Any thoughts/ideas on how to get him interested?
