Likely or unlikely?

Question

Is it likely or unlikely to get pregnant before having your first pp period while breastfeeding? I’m nearly 5 months pp & my period has not returned. I know it is POSSIBLE, but I’m wondering how likely or common it is to get pregnant without getting your period back.
I do breastfeeding & pumping / bottle feeding so I was sort of expecting my period to return.

Ovulation will happen before your period returns, and there is no way to know when that will start again. There have been a few studies (look up “Predictors of puerperal menstruation” on NIH if you’re interested in stats) but basically, if you have unprotected sex in the days around ovulation, you have roughly a 25% chance of getting pregnant, but there is no way to know when you will start ovulating again (unless you want to take OPKs everyday). Some people begin ovulating and menstruating almost immediately after birth, some when they reduce breastfeeding, some when they wean completely.

I am 10 months pp no period, EBF. 
With my first kid I went 11 months pp no period, but I was doing breastfed/formula combo. I started to wean slightly and got my period. I ended up getting pregnant with my second kid at 14 months pp.
