Any hair professionals in here?

I wanted to go back to black after having blonde bleached hair and I know I had to dye my hair red first before going black so It wont fade into an ugly green. I did just that and then dyed it black but now my hair has blue tones so I washed it the next day and it’s starting to look like a purple tone 🤔 what did I do wrong? Is it because I didn’t let the red dye wash out enough? Because I washed it twice before dying it black but I’m guessing that wasn’t enough and I can’t go to a professional right now because I don’t have the money at the moment. What should I do? Should I just let the black color run out after a couple of washes and dye it black again? And what color is the black going to fade into at the end?
