Have any of you decided to go to the birthing center to deliver?

Hi everyone, first time pregnant here. I am very curious to hear from mothers what their experience was giving birth at the hospital and with birthing centers.

A friend of mine is a nurse, she is also pregnant for the first time but due a few months before me. She’s decided to go to the local birthing center for peace of mind. She says she wants to feel comfortable where she gives birth and not rushed by the nurses, as that causes more unnecessary stress on mothers when they’re not ready to push.
