We Want Another Baby, But Some Family Won’t Approve

My husband and I have 3 sons. 7, 4, and almost 2. We are planning to have another, however we have family members that won’t approve of another child. This would be my husband’s grandparents. I know his grandmother worries about finances constantly. With any of our pregnancies, we haven’t had the amazing reactions that you see on social media. Truthfully, it does hurt our hearts. Mine more so than my husband’s. I really struggle to understand why our grandparents just cannot be happy and excited for us. They eventually come around but damn. Our parents know we would like to have another and are supportive. It’s just really weighing on my heart today as to why everyone just can’t be happy/excited for us.

In years past we did have some financial struggles, however that has been about 8 years ago. Things most definitely have changed since then.

I will say my husband’s grandmother helps us pay for daycare however THAT’S HER CHOICE. We didn’t ask her for help. We actually told her no but she INSISTED. I can’t help but think that contributes to her unsupportiveness but that isn’t fair to us.

I’m to the point that if we are successful when we start trying, that we will just not say anything until I get to the point of showing. (We do have some fertility issues. It’s usually around 2 years or more that we finally get pregnant.)

This crap makes me want to move away from everyone.

Are my feelings/thoughts valid?
