My son's school is being shut down and we aren't being told anything

I just had a baby 2 months ago and now I'm stressed because my son's school emailed me yesterday saying the school is being shut down and we have to come get them in the next 72 hours and any kids still left will be shipped to the youth shelter. So me and my husband are trying figure out how to fly down there to get him. We tried calling the school but they are not telling us what's going on. He goes to a school that's a school for mentally troubled youth. They separate the boys and the girls and they go to school separate. It's supposed to be for kids with behavior issues, issues with the law, or mental health issues. A lot of the kids are very mentally disturbed. My son was sent there because he was having some behavior issues and PTSD. I would talk to him on the phone every other night. They can't have phones there. We get a 20 minute phone call every night unless he gets in trouble then he loses his phone privileges and he never said anything was going on there. I know people have thoughts about parents who send their kids away and I just didn't know what else to do. He was constantly skipping class. He was depressed. Dealing with trauma. I thought a place where he could get therapy 24/7 and go to school at would be nice for him. Now I have to figure out what we are gonna do. We have a newborn and I'm not getting any answers from the school. Also we were paying quite a bit for him to go there so are we gonna get the rest of the years tuition back? There is just so much going on. I just wish they would give us some answers.

Edit: Oh I know schools get shut down for things like funding. I just always thought they give the school until the end of the year or at least semester before shutting them down. 3 days just seems like not enough time for any of us parents to prepare.
