Fussy baby, calm toddler?

Question

I have a four year old daughter and a one year old boy. I'm actually hoping to get insight into others' kids who maybe were very fussy as babies but have since calmed down. I'm honestly going crazy with my one year old who just seems fussy so often and more so around me. As soon as he sees me he will start fussing. I am hoping this gets better as he gets older but this is a completely different temperament than my daughter and I'm trying to figure out how to deal with it better. Thanks.

My oldest was a fussy baby. A lot seems to have boiled down to not understanding each other well and her easily being over stimulated. 
She's 4,5 now and I wouldn't say she was a calm toddler, but I guess compared to others she was. Our relationship has changed completely after being better to communicate with each other and her being able to tell us when she was too tired and wanted to go home. And we've always done our best to respect her when she's said it.

I have a 4 year old and a 2.5 year old. What I learned from them is that every child has their own character, interests, specialties and difficulties. Also all the different ages come with their own challenges 😉 the phrase "its just a fase" really comes true then doesnt it. Keep it up! Better times are ahead.
