Is my fwb into me again??

My fwb and I tried to “talk” before but he didn’t take me serious and was toxic. He ended up telling me he didn’t want me so we went back to just sex. But now he’s been a lot better and I’m starting to wonder if he’s starting to catch feelings for me for real this time? The other week he told me he’s jealous that I have a stronger friendship with a mutual friend we have and was saying how I “just like his dick” (which I thought was the point??) I told him I did like him and would give him more attention. He said “yeahh ok we’ll see” teasingly and called me a nickname he called me when we first tried to be together. He seems to be more focused on regular conversation with me than he does sex and he mentioned the other day how he thinks I talk about sex more than he does (it used to be reverse because he usually has a really high drive) and how he could go without it longer. He also even started wanting to make non-sex plans (which we haven’t done since last time he was interested in me) and wants to spend some of my birthday with me. But I’m not sure if he’s into me or if he was just jealous of our mutual friend and wanted something similar?
