Age appropriate answers to “Where do babies come from?”?

So I’m pregnant with my first and this is something that I’ve thought here and there about am wondering what others have done. So I never want to lie to my kids about this because I was very confused about this topic growing up, as my parents never told me anything and I was too embarrassed to ask again after being told “you’re too young to worry about that”. Which led younger child me to be terrified about getting pregnant because a (child) friend had told me that you could become pregnant from simply being punched in the stomach. 😑 That being said, I still completely agree that there’s tons about the topic that little ears shouldn’t hear. I don’t want to claim a stork brought them and I also think that telling them it’s from “married couples holding hands” can do more harm than good (one of my friends tells her children that).

Anyone have any opinions?
