Watery discharge before period - normal?

Hi ladies. My period is on day 44 so I’m obviously late. I’ve had a bunch of watery discharge that is soaking my underwear past few days and cramping. No odor or infection. Could this just be a sign my period is about to start? I’m thinking I just ovulated late this month because I have had irregular cycles before. My husband did get a vasectomy 6 months ago but he never completed the sperm follow up test so now I’m really hoping we aren’t in the very small percentage of vasectomies that fail 😳. I haven’t taken a pregnancy test because I’m just hoping period is starting any day now… also y’all I’ve taken category c medications and gotten x rays in the past few weeks so I’m hoping I can’t be pregnant. The vasectomy doctor said he took longer and cauterized everything and showed my husband and told him he has been 100% effective in his procedures so let’s hope that’s true.
