Teething solutions

Mamas I have a 7 month old baby and he is showiing teething symptoms. His symptoms are different then his older brother and I need help. Yesterday his temperature rish abit and he doesn't have that much of an appetite. I put gum jel(I think that whats is called) on him and it helps sometime. Do you know anything I can do to help him? I don't want to try any thing cold or frozene like I saw in some videos.
