Advice on “trying” for a baby ?!

Ja

Hi y’all! My fiancé and I her married next week, and we don’t plan on using any protection from here on out once married. We’ve been together almost 10 years and are in our twenties, we are both completely fine with any outcome when having unprotected sex.

That being said….

I haven’t ever been to an OB doctor yet and my appt is in December, so if somehow I end up pregnant before my appt (not ideal) is this okay? Or is it super important to go to an OB before getting pregnant?

Also I began taking prenatal vitamins (regularly, some days I forget), and rarely drink, sometimes smoke recreationally. I know drinking and smoking can effect trying to get pregnant but if I’ve stopped for a month and possibly have a drink or smoke once or twice since then, if I do end up pregnant would that be effected?

Any advice for women that are about to start trying to get pregnant?!

Any responses or comments are appreciated :))
