Baby girl estimated due date was November

13th but due to her measuring small for her gestation age my doctor scheduled me to be induced between 38/39 weeks. I went in for an induction at 8:30am on November 3rd. Nurse checked my cervix and I was not dilated at all. Around 10am cervidil inserted to help my cervix soften. The nurse took the cervidil out at 4:30pm, I was 1cm dilated and they started the Pitocin. My body was contracting and I wasn’t feeling any pain. Not even 30 minutes later the nurse stopped the Pitocin because I was contracting too much and they “didn’t want to piss the baby off or blast her out”. At 6:45pm they started the Pitocin back up. I received an epidural at 9pm. I was checked the next morning at 6am and was told that I was at 2/3cm but my cervix was still very thick. At 7am they inserted cytotec to help things progress. My doctor then came and broke my water bag at 10:41am, I was then told I was about 3/4cm. Around 1:30pm I started to feel a lot of pressure with my contractions and asked if they could up my epidural. The nurse checked me at 2:22pm and I was 5/6cm and 90% effaced. I took a short nap and was awakened by my nurse and doctor at 3:15pm telling me it was time to push. After pushing and making no progress, baby girls heart rate started to fluctuate and the doctor felt it was best to assist using a vacuum. At 4:02pm on November 4th baby girl was born! My rainbow baby is finally here 💖
