Resuming sex

I had a D&C done on November 16th due to an incomplete miscarriage. So about 9 days ago. I spotted for about 3 days on and off and haven’t bled since. I started birth control the day after the procedure. I am having some cramping but like pinching feelings.

Here’s the issue: I want to have sex but am unsure of when it’s safe. Since I was admitted to the ER for hemorrhaging-like bleeding because of the incomplete miscarriage, I was operated on by a doctor that is not one I’ve seen before. Upon waking from anesthesia, the he nurse stated when I was safe to do everything but I wasn’t paying attention because I was in and out of sleep. I also don’t have a number to call to ask the doctor.

Does anyone know? Online it says between 1-2 weeks. Some say after my first cycle. Some say it’s safe when I stop bleeding. Has anyone had a similar experience? When were you safe to have sex again?
