Labor prep! What did you do?

I heard of raspberry leaf tea and dates but what else did you do?

Some recommendations are to see a Webster certified chiropractor and to do miles circuit to help get baby in optimal position. Stay active, walk, stay upright, yoga ball etc.

I tried everything. Curb walking, yoga ball, red raspberry leaf tea, dates, spicy foods, dancing..nothing really worked. With my first I was in labor for 12 hours and pushed for an hour. My second I was in labor for maybe 6 hours? And then pushed 5 times and she was born. I also started everything on my due date, in the hopes to go on time. But didn’t go until 41 weeks with both.

Sex. Totally could have been a fluke but had sex and 30 mins later I was in early labor.

I read The Positive Birth Book by Milli Hill, which helped mentally prepare me for all possibilities. I ended up with an emergency c-section, so there really wasn't anything I could prepare for other than just the knowledge that book gave me. 
The most important thing is to know that you have power in labor, and your doctor works for YOU, not the other way around. You're in charge of your birth, and if something makes you uncomfortable, say so. Tell them no, withdraw consent, demand another doctor if it comes to it rather than do something that you feel isn't right.

I did absolutely nothing. I went in for a medical induction at 37w and labored for 12hr 21min. He was out in 4 pushes and I had a very minor 1st degree periurethral tear
