Is it okay to go clubbing while in a relationship?

I’m going on a girls trip with my best friend and told my boyfriend that we planned to go to the club a few times during our stay. He told me that he thinks it’s a dealbreaker and doesn’t like it. He told me that if I wanted to go to the club that much I should just wait until I get back so that we could go together. I don’t go to clubs and barely go out to bars either, I just want to have extra fun on our vacation. I don’t see anything wrong with it, as long as we trust each other and communicate well, I don’t see any problem with going out without each other. We had an argument about it but i’m wondering if anyone else finds it okay to go clubbing while you have a boyfriend?

I mean, I would respect my husband if he said he wasn't comfortable with it. I'm not into clubbing & I sure as hell wouldn't start at a girl's trip without him.

Sounds like there’s a deeper issue here than just you going to a club. You’re going on a girls trip, you’re allowed to have fun and just because you’re going to a club doesn’t mean anything is going to happen. 
You need to ask him why he has such strong feelings about it because it sounds like he’s insecure.

Women are allowed to do things without their significant other. Why wouldn't you go on a GIRLS trips with your friends? Or go to a club with them? I'm 24 years old, and I have been with my first and only boyfriend/fiance since I was 15, and I'm like you, I don't like going to those kind of places, but there have been times when I get invited and he always encourages me to go, to have fun and enjoy and have a good time. Also he's 31, so he's much older than me and we never had those issues. What I'm trying to say is, if he trusts you and loves you and actually knows you're going to have a good time with your friends and your friends only, it shouldn't bother him. Going to these kind of places doesn't mean you're hooking up with anybody, or be all over men, some people actually go to have fun.

I think it’s one thing to go dancing with your girlfriend with the intention of dancing with your girlfriends, not hooking up with guys or grinding up on other men, or something to that nature. Would you feel comfortable with your partner going to a strip club or they themselves going out clubbing or talking to other women and all depends on your relationship. What you are comfortable with and what they are comfortable with. Some people are fine with their partners going to a strip club, some people go to strip clubs together, some people go to dance clubs together as well, some people don’t do any of it it’s all up to you and what you are comfortable with. I personally have no issue myself. But not everyone feels that way now here is a compromise. What if you want to a male gay dance club, none of the men are going to be hitting on you, the ladies room line is probably gonna be available, That might be a compromise. Therefore, none of the men are after you kind of makes sense to me, or like you said, if you’re going to have drinks and dance with your girlfriends and hang out with them, fine, but if you’re going there with the intention of grinding up on other men are going home with somebody or Hooking up with somebody that’s a different story. I think he would rather be there with you, so there’s no temptation or any guys hitting on you or whatever he feels personally. The last thing you want is somebody roofing your drink and something happening to you. I think it’s a matter of safety, it’s a matter of what your intentions are, it’s a matter of a number of things when you are in a relationship. ￼

I think it’s one of those things you both have to be on the same page with. My husband wouldn’t care if i did (that’s not my thing at all tho lol), but if he felt uncomfortable with it I wouldn’t. But to say it’s a “dealbreaker” is pretty extreme

I’m sorry but to me I would leave him that kinda of controlling you telling you what you can and can’t do. 
I don’t go out clubbing often but my fiancé has no say on if I can or can’t go same for him he can go whenever he wants without me as I trust him and he trusts me.

There is no reason you should need to stop having fun and going out with friends while in a committed marriage relationship, including a club. The two of you should have trust and respect for one another. If he doesn’t trust you can be faithful while out with friends, y’all shouldn’t be together.
