Throwing things at me

My 2 year old son will not stop throwing stuff at me, toys, remote, etc. I tell him no, i take the stuff away, i tell him we don’t throw things. It’s multiple times a day everyday. One time i thought he broke my tooth with a toy. I don’t know what else to do. It makes me nervous to do play dates and stuff with other children because i don’t want them to get something thrown at them. I know he’s learning but nothing i do to try to teach him not to, is working. Are there any other tricks to stop him, or will he eventually grow out of this faze. I’m lost at what else to do.
