we are not friends.

i was in the company of an abusive ex-boyfriend earlier today. we are not friends. i didn’t speak to him more then necessary (pub quiz), even still i was addressing the group. my now boyfriend thinks im hitler for being around him. we are not friends. i refuse to sacrifice my relationships with my childhood best friend over abuse, despite his presence. i personally don’t think i’m being unreasonable, but my boyfriend does. i don’t speak to him, i don’t have a relationship with him, we are barely acquaintances. i hate him with every fibre or my being. but i will not let that jeopardise the relationship i have with my friends.

am i being unreasonable?
