As we know, Chinese New Year is coming soon, so as Asian, we prepared new clothes and stuffs as our tradition. The first day of Chinese New Year, we should wear new clothes in red color as a symbol of lucky, that is our tradition.

Considering I’m a SAHM, want to help me out, my own mother in my country bought for us new clothes for CNY. I just can’t stand how my in laws made comments about it, such as too exaggerating, too loud on designs, especially my MIL, said my Mom spent so much money on clothes for kids, while my SIL always comment my fashion sense like not nice and she wants to choose clothes for kids instead. I feel like disrespectful when they said that, even if I don’t like their fashion styles, I also won’t make such comment as I understand different person have their own styles.

Every times they bought clothes for my kids, I always show appreciation, let my kids wear to show them. But whenever I bought, they commented how not nice, the style is too much and wanted to let the kids wear as they like. This year, I won’t even care just to made them satisfied. I will dress up my kids in the new clothes that my Mom bought. How do you all feel about this? How should I say to them politely if they make such comments again? Thanks in advance.
