Men in my family mocking my boyfriend
My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 months and the men in my family (dad, brother, and uncles,) were mocking him saying he's a simp and male feminist have vaginas. This all started over his true crime podcast were he was talking about Jodi Alias. She murdered her boyfriend Travis Alexander. What they didn't like was my boyfriend talking about Travis and my boyfriend states several times he's not defending Jodi and he believes she belongs in prison. You don't do that to someone. His issue was he hates when people become a saint for no other reason than dying. He has issues with his mom and she died and people don't like him talking badly about her. He said while what happened to Travis was completely undeserved, he wasn't a good person and was actually a manipulative misogynist and he talks about the bad things Travis did to her and how he treated her. He said multiple times it's not an excuse and she belongs in prison but this is probably what led her to killing him and he hates that people act like he was a great person. They liked his other true crime stuff but when they heard that one they started making fun of me and saying he's just trying to draw in a female audience. My dad even told me "That's a man you're gonna marry and find out he's gay years later." I love him. I like his podcast and I don't understand why all of a sudden the men in my family are bent out of shape over that. He still spent a majority of the podcast holding Jodi accountable.
Edit: We've been dating 4 months but have known each other for 8 years. And my family found his podcast because he said he had one.
