Hi everyone! I'm really not sure where to post this is everything is so confusing. But.... I had a medicated abortion on Sep. 28 2023 and took the 2nd set of meds on the 29th and that is when I started bleeding. I bled for like a week and it stopped for a couple of days but then started bleeding again. It is now Jan 10 2024 and I have been bleeding ever since. I scheduled a check up with my obgyn to see what was going on and she referred me to get an ultrasound which I did and they found out I still had the same chocolate cyst on my right ovary that I had in 2022 when I last had my ultrasound. I did a follow up with my ob on Dec. 24 and she asked me if I wanted her to clean me (D&C) and I agreed. She then took a sample for the lab. She gave me antibiotics that I had to take for 3 days. I came back maybe a week later for another follow up and she told me the test showed that I had Chronic Endometritis (inflammation of the uterus) and prescribed me doxycycline twice a day for a week. I thought it would resolve the problem but I am still bleeding bright red. Before I went to see my ob and after my abortion, the blood was always a dark brown color. I did some research and I've been seeing people saying who had the same condition as me say that they were prescribed doxycycline for 2 weeks and some had failed therapy so they had to take another set of antibiotics. Now I'm wondering if the antibiotics didn't work on me and why did she only prescribe me 1 weeks worth and other people is taking it for 2 weeks? I'm just really confused and wondering what's going on with my body because I'm tired of wearing pads everyday 😭
