How long did you bleed after IUD put in?

I’m at 2wks spotting here and there not soaking up tampons but just annoying already.

What kind of IUD do you have? I only had bleeding when I went pee after I insertion and i actually think that was because they cut my cervix with the forceps. Then my first period with the IUD was light and short lived. You’re not supposed to bleed like that, it sounds like the IUD is not agreeing with your body. I had the same issue with the depo shot.

I bled heavily for 6 months straight.

I personally didn’t bleed at all both times I had mine inserted. I know they say a little spotting is common though. If it keeps happening I’d call and speak to a nurse about the normal range of this! Good luck!
