Work is causing anxiety

Today was a little awkward at work for me and it’s bothering me so bad. Yesterday my coworkers and I were chatting about their kids and one of my coworkers mentioned how her son and wife were expecting another baby. I asked why did she sound like that when she said it and she went on to say that the other kids they have are so bad and blah blah. I said something along the lines of “oh most grandmothers would be happy about having more grandkids” and left it at that. She is in her late 60s but she always walk around the office bragging about what her husband does for her, talks about her shoes and clothes. Well, today I noticed her and the other guy I would usually talk to when I get to work were super dry and short with me today. When I asked her work related questions she would act as if I’m bothering her, so today when I left I didn’t say anything to her. Should I ask tomorrow if I offended her or just stop being cordial? I noticed when I was coming down the aisle at work she veered off to avoid passing me…

*UPDATE**

I asked if I did or said anything to offend her and I apologized if I did. She kept saying Oh no, even though I know something’s bothering her but I can’t stress out about it. I apologized and I feel better since doing so. Next time I won’t say anything I’ll just keep my mouth shut.

***EDIT TO ADD

So she’s back talking to me and everything is back to normal… Still don’t know what bothered her but I think apologizing to her helped. Thanks guys!
