it's so confusing lol. he asked me out to pizza and then I said yes, then I said 'maybe' a few days later when he didn't want to give me his number. so then I thought he was hiding something. then he texted me the next morning with his number. now here is a separate occasion where we were texting:

My immediate reaction after reading this was: why did you say that, and still expect to be asked out? He asked you out, and you said 'I don't go to a bar on my own. I would probably get hit on.' Lol.
Imagine you asked him out and that would be his response.
You sound extremely passive-aggressive in these texts, unless I'm missing some context?

The confusing part is on you. 
He said he’s going out and you weirdly, out of no where, ask about strip clubs. Then he invited you to the bar and reply about getting hit on?

I think youre sending mixed messages. Im more confused by you than him. Do you actually like him as much as you gush in your text, or are you really just not into how hes handling trying to date you and you want a different approach? It looks like youre playing hard to get or something because you reject meeting for pizza cuz he didnt give his number, reject going with him to the bar,  so this sounds more like hes a mismatch or you dont like how hes going about this, but then you tell him you like him and dont tell him what you want instead. You need to be more decisive and up front.
