To any ultrasound techs I need your opinion/reassurance. Today my husband and I went for our 3rd baby’s 20wk ultrasound. I’m not sure if the tech was new or not but she spent significant time viewing our baby’s heart. A senior tech came in to give pointers towards the end but again focused mainly on the heart and also a few pics of the kidneys. My husband was quite concerned over the amount of time they spent on the heart and in total my appointment took an hour. Is this normal? Are we reading too much into it? Some backstory: we had 2 early pregnancy losses in 2022 and are more vigilant with things during this pregnancy.
