Prolonging the inevitable…?

I just turned 37, about to have my first baby. I’m high risk and my baby is measuring BIG. We failed our 1-hour glucose test but passed the 3-hour. My doctors keep saying how big he is at my appointments but are still planning on doing a vaginal delivery. He’s over 9lbs and I’m 39 weeks, going in for induction (in 3 days) on the 23rd. My OB keeps hinting around about doing a c-section because of his size. So why didn’t we induce a few weeks ago when he was smaller and wouldn’t blow out my vaginal delivery hole?! Why wait and see how big he can get, put me thru induction with a 10lb baby that’s going to get stuck and need a c-section anyway?! Ugh. I’m just stressed.
