I have been hearing a whooshing / heart beat like sound in my ear, it happened twice with me this week (today and around 3 to 4 days before) anybody know why is that happening should i consult a doctor?

You do need to get the reason for it checked. Yes it’s called pulsation tinnitus but it can have serious causes and needs to be investigated.

That’s just a form of tinnitus. I’ve had it for years, doctors won’t do anything unless you have serious symptoms with it
