Friends with benefits is you are good enough to have sex with, you are good enough to hang out with but you are not good enough to be in a relationship with. I will settle for you until what I really wants comes along. You are just a back up plan for now. Not a priority. I will do as I please. The I’m not looking for a relationship or in a place for one line. If what he wanted walked by he would hop on that in a heartbeat. He just doesn’t want it with you. And that’s the sad reality of the situation. If he said that to you, my next statement would have been well are you only sleeping with me or other people too because that’s a double standard unless it’s an arrangement to only sleep with each other that you previously made the. Multiple women. He was dating one and practically living with her. She apparently is jealous and controlling lol. She beat the crap out of him one night with a gallon of water. He had to call the cops but felt bad because she had kids there at the house so he didn’t press charges and stayed with the kids there. She came back. Slept downstairs with one eye open. Had another who was a long distance truck driver. Had a woman with 5 kids that I was helping to buy a house, he had another woman in another state with kids as well. Men always have a back up plan that’s the point  of the stories. If you don’t like it talk to him. Or move on. Your decision to be exclusive or not on either end is up to you both. Good luck
