Is ignoring safety a parenting choice?

I have a person in my life that consistently posts pictures and videos of her putting her baby in unsafe situations. For example, she never supports his neck - while holding or sitting him by himself in a chair (at 1-2 months), holding him upside down for a picture at 1 month, letting him be held in the passenger seat of a moving vehicle (sometimes by someone who is sleeping), jostling him for a viral trend, and the list goes on. There have been many people who have contacted her asking her to support his neck and to put him in a car seat. She gets mad and says they are telling her how to parent and that she’s the mom so they have no right. She thinks because she’s young that people are treating her like she’s a little girl, but they are actually genuinely concerned for the kid’s safety. I could understand if it was a genuine parenting choice of bed time/how to handle situations/etc. but I feel like safety is not something you can call a parenting choice and just ignore.. am I wrong??
