Late bfp success stories?

My husband and I have been trying for baby #2 for 5 months now. I thought I was out this month because I tested on 11/12 dpo and it was stark white negative, like not even a hint of a shadow of a line. I typically have a 14 day luteal phase so when day 13/14 rolled around I tested again, and thought maybe I could see the start of something but chalked it up to a bad indent line. Then yesterday I was cramping all day, came home and decided to take 1 last test to just confirm the negative so I could move on because my period was 2 days late at this point, I got a faint positive on frer but neg on cb digital. Tested again this morning and both are positive and it’s darker. But at this point I’m like 16 or 17 dpo and feel like the line should be much darker?? Been pregnant 4x and with my only successful pregnancy I had a dye stealer at 20 dpo and never tested before that point so I don’t know how early that one would’ve shown up. I’m just coming off a chemical so my fear is that this is not viable. Has anyone else had such a late bfp and everything turned out fine??
