Baby shower for second?

I had a baby shower with my first baby in 2023 and now I’m due with another baby in November, what are your guys thoughts on having a second baby shower? Is that a thing lol or do you just do a get together. I’ve heard mixed opinions on it, I am planning on this time around to do a gender reveal I didn’t with my first bc I was doing the baby shower.

Do you need anything for baby? I had a 2023 baby and still used most things from my 2014 baby lol. I would do a gender reveal/diaper party if asking guests to bring something.

My MIL threw me one for me 2020 baby and my mom threw me babyshower for my 2021 and my 2024 babies.in my family every baby is celebrated. If you don't feel you need anything you could always do a diaper party.

I’m having a “sprinkle” (possibly two) for this baby. As soon as I announced I had several friends reach out and ask me if they could throw me a shower. I don’t think that there is anything wrong with celebrating all of your babies with a shower/sprinkle if you and your family and friends want to.

We had one with our first. My mom and aunt threw it for me. We didn’t have one this pregnancy. My family doesn’t typically do them for multiple babies but my MIL and BIL (separate sides of the family) both found that weird I wasn’t having one again. My MIL even told me I’m being “unfair” to this baby ?? If someone threw us one that would be fine but I definitely wasn’t going to be planning my own shower! 
We have more than enough of everything, honestly too much stuff as is. I didn’t feel it was necessary. It totally just seems to depend on the family. Whatever you wanna do is completely fine
