What do I do?!

Sooo… I got a job offer today. Before I accept, I am having a phone call tomorrow at 11:00am to talk about salary, benefits, dress code, etc. I know it’ll be a lengthier phone call. However, I’m going to be the only person working the front desk tomorrow. I get off at 12pm anyway tomorrow, but I cannot move the phone call around. I don’t want my clients to be standing around and the other staff mad at me. But this is a dream job opportunity and I want to prioritize it. What do I do?!

Either leave work early or call off. You need to put yourself first. If this is a dream job do not fuck it up for the current job. Go for the new job.

You tell your employer that you have to leave work at 1045am for personal reasons for about a half hour. You then go to your car to take the call.

Did you tell the new job your availability? If you did and they scheduled themselves when you’re not available, then that is a huge red flag. If you didn’t tell them, then that’s on you. You need to be more clear about things. 
Your options are to either leave work early, take the day off, or tell the new job you need to reschedule.
