Chemical pregnancy - related to breastfeeding?

Be

Hi everyone, hoping someone out there has been in a similar situation and can help me..

I did a pregnancy test 2 days ago (8DPO) and it was a faint positive, same again yesterday even darker, and again this morning it’s still very positive as well. Multiple brands were positive, so it wasn’t a case of false positive etc.

Anyway, yesterday evening I began spotting which I was a little concerned about but it’s now a lot lot heavier and bright red. I’ve been here once before so I know it’s most likely a chemical pregnancy.

My question to anyone out there is, is this possible related to low progesterone because I’m still breastfeeding my 18 month old? I know prolactin can suppress/decrease your progesterone levels which is needed for successful implantation.

I’m just feeling super low and lost today while I inevitably go through this early loss, and any success stories, similar situations may give me some hope that it won’t keep happening! Do I need to stop breastfeeding my toddler to have a successful future pregnancy?

Thank you.
