How old was your baby when they slept through every night?

Question

Like literally everyone in my family boasts about how their kids were sleeping through the night from birth. 
I have two girls, 4 years and 6 months. When my 4 year old was a baby (until she was around 2 years ) she woke up AT LEAST 3 times a night, and as many as 6 times.
My 6 month old, some nights she wakes up once, some nights she was up 5 times, some nights she wakes up 2 times but stirs the entire night and I have to continue resettling her the entire night. And when she gets up the only way to get her back to sleep is milk. I know they say not to give them milk to sleep but like what the hell do you expect me to do when my baby is screaming her head off and waking up everyone else in the house while I’m trying to settle her. 
Anyways…..advice on getting her to sleep through?? How old were yours when they did it?? 
I’ve tried everything a quick google search tells you to do. 
We use white noise every night, the room is cool and dark.
I’ve tried napping her less during the day. I’ve tried napping her more.
I’ve done 7 p.m bed time, I’ve tried 9 p.m, and 10 p.m 
I’ve tried feeding her more milk during the day. 
I’ve tried feeding her cereal oatmeal before bed.

They didn't till.they were both 14monts or so. And they actually aren't supposed to sleep through the night either. Biologically waking up is a protection from SIDS..

My first who is almost 4 is just now starting to sleep through the night. My second who is almost 18 months old was sleeping through the night since 3 months old. They are complete opposites.

My daughter was probably 2 when she started reliably sleeping through the night. She’s now 4 and still wakes up in the middle of the night every few days/weeks. Just last night I had to check on her three times

Every kid is truly different. I have 3 kids, 8, 2, & 1. My 8 yr old and 2 yr old both pretty much started sleeping through the night around 3 months. I remember with my oldest he would sleep 10+ hrs pretty early on & it used to make me nervous. My 2 yr old goes to sleep so easily. We read him a book, put him in his crib & he’s out. The only time he wakes up throughout the night is if he is sick & in that case, he is a terror to get to sleep. However, our youngest is an awful sleeper. He has never slept through the night. Not once. He is so hard to put to sleep at night, most nights. He wakes up 2-3 times throughout the night & is hard to put back to sleep. He also ALWAYS wakes up at 6 am, no matter what time he falls asleep or how much sleep he has actually gotten for the night. It’s rough. I never expected this, especially since we were blessed with good sleepers for our first two. I’m 26 weeks pregnant with our fourth & I am concerned because I really thought our 13 month old would be sleeping through the night by now. We have also tried everything, so I don’t have any good advice unfortunately.. just have to keep trying. It won’t last forever. But you’re not alone in the struggle. A lot of parents deal with this & just because other people have kids that sleep well, doesn’t mean that will always be the case for them or their future children. It really depends on the child.

We started sleep training around 8-9 months and then the night wakings stopped (they learn to just go back to sleep when they stir between REM cycles). Then I did night feedings only if baby was actually hungry vs for soothing (eg if it's been 3+ hours since their last feeding then I would nurse/bottle. If only an hour since they last ate, thats soothing needs vs actual hunger). Then they stopped waking for night feedings around age 12-14 months or so once they were eating table solids.

My daughter didn’t start sleeping through the night till 18 months when she was weaned from breastfeeding and in her own room. She went from waking up 4-6 times every night to just one, to now at 21 months she will only have the somewhat rare night that she wakes up. All babies are different when it comes to sleep.

My daughter slept through the night from a few weeks old. My son started sleeping through the night at around 6 months but only cause we decided to sleep train after he was waking up every couple of hours. Hes 9 months now and mainly sleeps through, but still has restless nights. Some babies are just a lot noisier when they wake up at night than others!

I feel like every kid is different and they just don’t sleep thru until they’re ready. My 2 year old has spurts where he’ll sleep through the night for a week or two goes back to waking up at least once during the night. My 4 month old does really well and wakes up usually just once, and definitely needs milk to fall back to sleep (how people do it without is beyond me). I’ve just accepted my fate at this point. I do use night time gripe water (mommy’s bliss) which may contribute to her sleeping well (who knows).
