rash? spots spreading on back

i noticed on my boyfriend a few weeks ago that he had a couple of these spots and maybe thought it was an eczema flair up but the dots have started to spread and i’m just worried or wondering what it could be. photo really isn’t TMI but just as a precaution i blurred it. any advice would help, tyia!

I get this sometimes. Its called tinea versicolor and its basically a yeast overgrowth. A derm can prescribe a lotion or an antifungal pill. I have a friend who treats his by using selsan blue as a body wash. Thats a little cheaper and saves your bf a trip to the dermatologist!

Contact dermatitis maybe. Might be a good thing to get checked out. Maybe a cream. Changing sheets more often. Might even be from detergents, soap, shampoos, lotions anything new. Cotton clothing over polyester. Wear a cotton tee underneath if he’s gonna wear polyester like a football jersey. Summer time more sweat. Cotton is a breathable fabric, polyester is not.
