Ovulation bleeding?

Has this happened to anyone?!

I’m in my fertile week. I’ve been using the clear blue digital ovulation test. Yesterday I tested high (flashing smiley face) before I went to bed around 10pm I started feeling a slight cramp on my right side of my pelvic area. I figured it was just due to ovulation. Around 12am I woke up with really bad cramps, went to the bathroom and when I peed there was blood in the toilet and when I wiped. But nothing in my underwear. I put a pad on and took some Tylenol and felt fine shortly after. This morning I took another ovulation test and it was still flashing the smiley face (high) but when I peed and wiped there was still bright red blood. I read on Google that spotting is normal but I’ve never spotted during ovulation before. And I thought spotting was light colored or brown? Is the bright red still considered spotting?

I emailed my doctor! But wondering if this has ever happened to any of you!
