rip in my vagina/labia (not hymen) from first time??

so confused!!

so me and my boyfriend of about a year finally had sex for the first time and it was amazing except for when I started bleeding bright red blood everywhere. I knew this could happen, as i read about how your hymen can stretch and rip and that could cause blood, so i thought it was ok. my boyfriend was very sweet and understanding and got me towels and things immediately :). so i was still bleeding, id say about the same amount of the last couple days of being on my period. It stopped after about 36 hours but the rip still hurt. below my vagina opening there is about half an inch rip/tear in the actual skin…im 90% sure it’s not my hymen. we used lube and i was definitely aroused so its not like i was dry and tight yk. the other thing i can think of is because he has a pretty large dick, also very wide. if it heals and I do it again, is it just going to bleed again? I really don’t know what’s going on, so if you do pls help!! is this normal?
