Why would my ex boyfriend call me toxic?

I am a nice person and not even close to being toxic why is he telling everyone that he was in a toxic relationship? This is going to ruin my reputation. I did nothing that was toxic. What should I do about this?

Or he was the bag guy and has to say something to make himself look better. He’s not going to say I was an asshole. Or was controlling or manipulative. Or cheated etc. he would rather throw the other person under the bus to make them look better or like they were the victim. To throw the fault at you. Move on. IF a guy won’t date you because of him, then find someone else. Expand your circle. He threw me under the bus to cover up what he did, Common sense. You can try and defend yourself until you are blue in the face. When he moves on they will see who he really is.Surround yourself with people who know you and know who you really are. Those that believe him aren’t your people.

I also don’t know you and your ex. Did he ever tell you why he thinks the relationship was toxic? Toxic can mean several different things.

Nobody is perfect. You probably have some toxic tendencies. We all do if we’re not constantly working on ourselves and growing. Don’t focus on your reputation - just focus on actually being a good person, growing, learning and being better than you were yesterday.
