10 month old activities

Hello! We have our first in person visit tomorrow with a friend’s 10 month old baby she’s asked us to adopt!! To keep it short: He’s in foster care (willingly placed), the casa workers aren’t fans of us as they are friends with the foster parents and want them to adopt him. Anyway, they’re having our first visit at a restaurant, which isn’t great as he’s ten months old but we will take what they’re willing to give!

Anyway, I’m asking for advice on what we can do to engage with him, and what not. What are some things your 10 month old enjoys? Any toys we could buy from Walmart that yours around that age loves? They said he gravitates towards the color red.
