Miscarriage
I am 5 weeks pregnant and I woke up last night to some cramps and bleeding both like I just started my period , not to heavy and cramps not too painful , I haven’t passed any big clots besides a teeny tiny one , is this a miscarriage ? I went to urgent care and they said they couldn’t do anything recommended me to the ER but I don’t want to wait there for hours if they can’t do anything either. I’m not in a lot of pain. I just need to know what to look out for if this is a miscarriage since I’ve never had one ….

Big clots versus small clots don’t define a miscarriage. A miscarriage at this stage will likely seem like a typical period. But not all bleeding is a miscarriage so see your doctor. The ER is generally not the right place for suspected miscarriage (unless hemorrhaging, pain, retained tissues) because they cannot stop it. You’re better calling your own doctor to run labs, do an exam, etc.
