Question

Best wearable pump for smaller chests? I have a medela pump in style that doesn’t suction to me well, and a Bella Baby wearable that I’m still trying to figure out if I like.

Can only speak from personal experience here. The Elvie wearable has worked very well for me. Super easy to setup and use. It is costly but for me has been a life saver for pumping on the go. You sometimes just can’t sit tied to the wall outlet with a traditional hospital grade pump. This is NOT a replacement for my Spectra 2 just a supplement so life can go on. For what its worth I am not an expert just a Mom giving her personal experience on my breastfeeding journey.

I am a 34B and have a willow go. I use it daily and have had good results. Thankfully insurance covered a solid portion of the price and continues to cover my replacement parts, otherwise it’s on the pricey side. But I’ve had no issues with suction. I just use a well fitting bra with it and try not to move around too much otherwise sometime the milk spills from the top. I have a spectra too but haven’t touched it this time around.

Spectra was my main pump. Momcozy was my on the go or in the nicu. I tried a willow go and hated it (the suction sucked and I needed replacement parts in the first week of having it and it was a pain to get the parts).

Wearable pumps aren’t advised by IBCLCs. They don’t have suction as good as hospital grade traditional flange pumps. And can decrease supply because of it.
